Truly one of the greats of the hospitality industry, Bill Swoboda was revered and respected by all who met him. Over the course of 52 years Bill Swoboda built a tradition of serving clients through honest dealing, high integrity and helping others by bringing them together in transactions that addressed mutual needs.
Founded in 1954, Bill Swoboda’s hospitality brokerage company remains one of the most active in the industry. As part of his industry leadership Bill served as one of the seven founding members of the Hotel & Motel Brokers of America, the original hotel real estate trade association which today has become Hotel Brokers International.
Following his death, his widow and partner, Mori Swoboda, identified William Meinhold, president of Hospitality Specialist, to carry on the company in the tradition Bill established.

President of Swoboda Hospitality Specialists, Mr. Meinhold has a total of 40 years of real estate industry experience and 32 years specializing in hospitality sales. His track record is impressive. Mr. Meinhold has structured many hospitality transactions valued at more than one billion dollars..
Prior to forming Hospitality Specialist, Mr. Meinhold served as the National Marketing Director for the Woodmoor Corporation, one of the largest recreational land development companies on the American Exchange. Under his direction the company more than doubled sales within a year of him joining the company.
Mr. Meinhold co-founded and served as Hospitality Specialists Inc. in 1993, a real estate brokerage firm formed to specialize solely in the sale of hospitality properties in the Western states.
Mr. Meinhold earned the Certified Hotel Broker (CHB) designation, which is held by less than 50 commercial brokers nationwide. He has completed computerized hotel market studies and valuation courses at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration, attributing to his wealth of knowledge and experience in hospitality sales.
Greg Meinhold, CCIM, CHA, CHB, CIPS, CPM, RPA is CEO of Swoboda Hospitality Specialists. He serves as Designated Hotel Broker in states in which Swoboda Hospitality operates, holding licensing as a real estate broker in Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Texas, Washington, Wyoming. He also is qualified as a General Contractor in Arizona, California, Colorado, and Washington. With industry experience since 1980, since 1993 have been spent specializing in hospitality development and sales, Mr. Meinhold has an extensive background as a developer, property manager, licensed contractor, real estate broker and operator of hotels, income producing properties and restaurants.
Mr. Meinhold co-founded Pacific Hotel Motel Specialists, Inc. a real estate brokerage firm specializing solely in the sale of hospitality properties in the Western States, and Mexico. Along with the responsibilities of founding and running the company, Mr. Meinhold served as Pacific Hotel Motel Specialists’ Designated Broker.
Highly active in the commercial brokerage community, Mr. Meinhold holds the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation, a designation held by less than 5% of commercial brokers, as well as the Certified Hotel Broker (CHB) designation, which is held by fewer than 50 commercial brokers nationwide. He also understands the value of International Business and to support the company’s efforts abroad has secured the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPC). He has also earned designations concerning the operations and management of income producing commercial properties the Institute of Real Estate Management Commercial Property Manager (CPM) and The Building Owners and Managers Institute Real Property Administrator (RPA). To optimally serve client interests, Mr. Meinhold continually seeks to improve his skills. He recently completed advanced hotel valuation courses at the Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.
Greg has served on the board of directors of Hotel Brokers International HBI, The Red Cross, County Wrestling Officials Association, and Eagle Scout Review Boards. In 2006 he received the Washington State Medal of Valor, 2003 Governors Lifesaving Award, and 2000 the American Red Cross Adult Good Samaritan. In off hours Greg finds enjoyment in training and working Labrador Retrievers, collecting and restoring classic automobiles, upland and waterfowl hunting, and boating.
